Rites Pending for Retired Collin Farmer
McKinney – Funeral services were pending Saturday at Turrentine-Jackson Funeral Home for John C. Pettway, 82, a retired farmer, who died Friday in a McKinney hospital.
Mr. Pettway was born Feb. 14, 1880 in Tennessee. He spent most of his life in Collin County. He was a member of the Baptist church.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mary Curtis of Fort Worth; two sons, Doyle Pettway of Dallas and Will Pettway of McKinney; one sister, Mrs. Sally Shakles of California; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
