The Hopewell School District was started around 1892. It had 35 students that year with 40 students in 1899 and 55 in 1900.
In 1901 the teacher was A. H. Melugin. J. J. McCasland was the teacher in 1905. Miss Dessie Powell taught the Hopewell school in 1907.
In 1908 the Westminster Institute in Collin County published a list of graduates who were teaching in Collin County schools. Mirt [Murt] Fry from the class of 1906 was the teacher of the Hopewell school.
Hopewell had 23 males and 18 females in 1909 and 25 students in 1912.
In 1913 the Hopewell School district consolidated with the Dixon (Frognot) School.
