The Heardville School was located on the John Heard Ranch on the John Stanford survey southeast of Princeton near present-day Lake Lavon. The area was also called Heardland and Heard Ranch.
Before 1901, District #82 was listed as Prospect (Martin’s Box), which had no students. W. M. Glass was the teacher at Heardville school in 1901. Miss Lucy Bailey was the teacher in 1905 and Ora Pilgrimm in 1909. Heardville had 25 male and 29 female students in 1909. District #82 was skipped in 1912.
In 1912 the students were divided between the Thompson School Princeton and the Princeton School.
