Charles Quisenberry
Kentuckian Here Visiting Brother
Charles Crittenden Quisenberry of Winchester, Kentucky and sixteen year-old-son, Lisle, came down to the big reunion at Dallas and are visiting relatives in McKinney and other parts of the county.
Mr. Quisenberry, who is a prominent grocery, fresh meat and vegetable merchant of Winchester, has visited this county on two previous occasions. He is living within five miles of his birthplace, in Kentucky. He was named in honor of Gov. C. C. Crittenden of Missouri who was a lifetime friend of this father.
Mr. Quisenberry is one of a family of nine children, seven brothers and two sisters. Six of the brothers are still living, one brother and the two sisters are deceased.
All nine of the children lived to be grown men and women. One other brother, Walter L. Quisenberry, is a farmer near Winchester at their old Kentucky home.
The other four brothers are resident of Texas, all living in Collin county as follows: Rod M. Quisenberry of McKinney; Claude V. Quisenberry of Frisco; B. A. and S. A. Quisenberry, both farmers of the Lebanon community, in Southwest Collin; Mr. Quisenberry and son are greatly enjoying their Texas visit at this delightful season of the year. He is meeting the many friends of his four brothers in McKinney and other parts of the county.
These four Collin county Quisenberry brothers are all citizens who are universally esteemed for their integrity of character, their thrift as business men and for their contributions to the good name and reputation for good citizenship of their adopted Texas as home community, city and state.
