Veteran West Collin Man Renews for Examiner
A. F. Quisenberrry gave us a call Saturday to leave $1.50 sent in by his father C. V. Quisenberry of Frisco to renew for the Examiner for 1929. C. V. Quisenberry is one of the pioneers of southwest Collin county. He has read our paper going on 43 years. We used to meet him away back in the early '80s when we were working on the old McKinney Enquirer of which the late John H. Bingham was the able and fearless editor. Only a few days ago Mr. and Mrs. C. V. Quisenberry celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at their home now in Frisco. Many relatives were present. No invitation had been issued, and it was thing of a surprise affair, if we were not mistaken. The children and grandchildren dropping in to make the dear old folks happy. Their son, A. F. (Felix) had come in from Plainview to be present. We were glad to meet him again. He has lived in West Texas for about 20 years.
